These are inspired by my dear friends and family. I can remake the Pearl and Amazonite malas with very similar beads (no two beads are alike and yet I can get the same product, they all have natural variations.) This makes your piece completely unique to you!

If you like purple and white fish pendant, it is very special, and it makes sense! It is Wampum and the art form originated with the Wampanoag tribe of Martha’s Vineyard. If you would like a wampum pendant, please message me and I will give you options from the artists I grew up with on Martha’s Vineyard. 

The Wampanoag people of Martha’s Vineyard (originally called Noepe by the Wampanoag) have been crafting wampum out of the quahog shell (hard-shelled clam) for thousands of years. The purple and white striations and patterns on the inside of the shell are created by minerals in the mud where the quahogs are dug. The Wampanoag people were the original inhabitants of the Island. They would carve pieces of shell into beads for belts and other adornments, often to signify an important event, to give as a gift, or to tell a story. Long before wampum was a trade item between Native Americans and European colonists, it was a way for the Wampanoag people to keep records, and send messages. A runner delivering a message would have a wampum belt signifying the importance of the message. Similarly, wampum would denote a tribe member’s rank or status. White beads would often signify peace or prosperity, and purple might be representative of more solemn matters such as a political treaty or mourning of a death. Today, the tradition of carving quahog shells into beautiful pieces of art and jewelry is still alive and well in the Wampanoag community. Crafters like Berta Welch and Jason Widdiss continue to craft wampum jewelry through more modern means, using power tools.

Malas are made of 108 beads. With the pendant, they rest on the mid to lower abdomen for most people. Bracelets are made with approximately 23-30 beads. 

The bracelets are stretchy and made with elastic. The malas do not stretch and are made with durable, nylon string. Try to avoid getting them wet as this makes them wear out faster.

I put the malas and real stone jewelry out under the moon to cleanse them and to give you the best support possible through the healing powers of Mother Earth. 

The moon cleanses real stones. Especially a full moon. Rain, sun, fresh air, and nature, in general, do this. 

I have many different malas made with different quality, real, and rare stones. I wear them on different days depending on the support I need emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. 

For instance, if I need help to heal my body and/or soul, I go to labradorite and amethyst. 

Lápiz and Sapphire for clear communication and throat Chakra. 

Amazonite for protection from anything that vibrates beneath love, light, wisdom, and compassion. Good vibes only. 

Carnelian and Garnet for sacral and root chakra support, menstrual cycle wellness, and a balanced energizing/grounding effect. 

Rose quartz and fluorite to have the courage to trust in the power of love. Love, love, love.

Malas traditionally are used in meditation to recite mantras. To calm and focus the mind. Cultivate peace and clarity. And if you’re like me to give my hands something to do so they don’t go distracting me ;-)

Free shipping in the USA. $60 to ship to most parts of Canada. To ship to another country we would need to determine the shipping cost first before the purchase is complete. 

Your jewelry comes with a bag (free of charge) so you can easily store or travel with it. It’s a bit smaller/about the size of an average makeup bag. The designs of the bag vary. I like to surprise you! The blue bag with the butterfly is an example. If you have a specific bag request, message me. This will change the price if I customize this aspect.

I will fix anything that has an issue within one year in the USA and Canada.
